Schiphol is procrastinating on reducing carcinogenic emissions
Although Schiphol has promised to reduce the emission of substances of very high concern in 2008, even adjustments that are easy to implement have not been applied. Why is there no follow up by the inspection?
In February 2023, the Dutch research institute TNO has issued an alarming report on the emission of carcinogenic substances at Schiphol. For some of the substances, industry standards are exceeded thousands of times; a dangerous situation in which the health of employees and local residents is at stake.
